My friends and I spent five days on mopeds traveling through the mountains of northern Vietnam near the Chinese border on a sort of pilgrimage known as the Ha Giang Loop. The scenery was breathtaking but even more stunning were the Hmong women. The Hmong are considered an indigenous group by the Vietnamese government. The Hmong migrated to Vietnam from southern China about 600 years ago and have settled throughout the Indochina peninsula. They are known for their work ethic and colorful clothing. A few allowed me to capture them on film. Enjoy.
